Week four of the ILL saw the Dublin Avengers host the league matches down at De La Salle Palmerston RFC. Game one saw the Avengers take on the Prawns while UCD took on NUI Galway.
The Avengers jumped out to a 3-0 lead after 15 minutes and though a spirited comeback at the end of the first quarter would see the Prawns trailing by a single goal. The Avengers once again got the best of the Prawns in the second quarter running out to a 8-3 half time score.
The teams played a 2-2 third quarter and it would be the high flying offence of the Avengers that would see the team run out to a 14-7 win.

In the battle of the two schools it would be the organisation and skill of UCD that would see them get the upper hand on their west coast rivals.
Despite a tentative start, UCD broke the deadlock after 5 minutes on the first of the game for UCD’s Tadhg Bolger. Ciaran Boylan would restore his coaches faith after serving a two minute penalty for a late hit on NUI Galway’s Tim Segal by scoring a well placed goal. UCD would take a 3-1 lead into the second quarter after Stephen Lee-Cheong would grab on back just before the break.
It was UCD that would turn it on in the second quarter grabbing 5 more before the half time break. t would be Galway’s Ryan Doran who took the initiative in the third grabbing a couple of goals back for the Galway outfit. Though this would be too little too late as the skill and organisation of UCD would see them march out to a 12-6 win.
Tadhg Bolger had his best game in a UCD uniform registering 5 goals and leading all scorers. NUI Galway’s Ryan Doran earned a hattrick in the loss.
