Financial Management

The Ireland Lacrosse Finance Committee is the primary body responsible for the strategic oversight of Ireland Lacrosse’s financial health. Its mandate is to ensure that all financial resources are aligned with the organisation’s mission, vision and values, and its activities across high-performance and participation, with a view to ensuring long-term sustainability.

Ireland Lacrosse Finance Committee – Terms of Reference (March 2026)

Ireland Lacrosse Six Principles of Financial Management:

  1. Financial management and reporting is segmented into four separate domains: High Performance, Éire, Domestic, and Organisation.
  2. Financial management of each domain is separate/self-contained.
  3. Each domain must “wash its own face” (ie break-even or better).
  4. Each of the four domains may have sub-domains/projects/teams – how those are managed may be decided within each domain, through the relevant IL committee (High Performance, Participation). This can include, for example, fundraising co-ordination.
  5. Across all four domains, everyone must be an IL member (https://irelandlacrosse.justgo.com/). IL membership fees are ring-fenced for the Organisation domain.
  6. Financial collaboration/co-ordination/cross-subsidisation between domains is encouraged but not required (e.g. Coach education & training), subject to evaluation on a case-by-case basis and with the agreement of the relevant IL committees (High Performance, Participation). In such instances, there must be an agreed “Rationale for Significant Reallocations” and this must be recorded in the minutes and reports of the Finance Committee.

The Irish National Lacrosse Teams (women’s/men’s/senior/U20/field/box/sixes) are overseen and managed by the Ireland Lacrosse High Performance Committee. That committee has also published a High Performance Financial Management Structure.

Ireland Lacrosse submits an annual Directors Report and Financial Statement to the Companies Registration Office in Dublin, a process which is overseen by an independent accountant.  The most recent reports are published here:
