Welcome to 2015, where the Irish Lacrosse League (ILL) sees its 6th continuous season of operation!  For this year’s men’s league, we welcome back the QUB team from Belfast, which will play alongside long-standing competitors the Dublin Avengers (defending champions), UCD, NUI-Galway, and the Dublin Bay Prawns.  The women’s league will feature UCD and the Dublin Avengers as well as NUI-Galway and QUB.

For the men’s league, in order to facilitate the extra team into the schedule there is a need to amend the competition format. Each team will now play each other once, with the standings at the end of the round robin stage deciding the fixtures for the final Gameday slated for 11th April, where there will be a playoff to decide the league winners and the third placed team.  A further consequence of this change is that each team will also have a bye week (ie, no game for that team for that Gameday).

Men’s matches will be 80 minutes long and played in accordance with FIL rules.  At the final Gameday, there will also be a 60 minute game between the 5^th ranked team and those eligible to try-out for the Irish U-19 team.  Further details regarding the Irish U-19 team, including player eligibility information and tryout dates, will be posted on the Ireland Lacrosse website and distributed to all clubs in the very near future.

Men’s fixtures, bye weeks and hosts are outlined below.  Women’s fixtures are being confirmed but will align with the Gameday dates/locations included below.
