The Box Rocked!

On Sunday, March 6th, ten players from the Irish Lacrosse League stormed the floor at the WigWam Inline Arena to  play some box lacrosse. Despite the low turnout in numbers, it was a pretty good show of lacrosse skills as Team Dublin took on members from the Prawns and Galway. There was some hard checking, excellent goals, and pretty high tempo play considering the lack of subs.

All in all it was a huge success, it was also good to see marked improvement from lacrosse rookies like David from Galway who, now sets one of the hardest picks around.

Special thanks to Ryan Doran and Ian Coughlan who took on the mighty task of strapping on the pads and it must be said, Ian looked pretty good as a box goalie out performing his Galway counterpart.

A huge thank you to the WigWam Inline Arena, we will be back soon!

The next indoor game will take place following the National Indoor Team training session on Saturday 26th March, Training from 1.00-2.00pm (1 hour) & then scrimmage vs ILL Guests from 2.00-4.00pm (2 hours). Everyone is invited, any skill level is welcome, so show up and bring your friends! The session will cost €10 which goes towards covering the cost of the facility.
