EvoShield and Ireland Lacrosse Partner Up!

Ireland Lacrosse CEO Michael Kennedy is pleased to announce that EvoShield Ireland is the latest company to sponsor the Irish Men’s National Lacrosse Team. This year is a big year for the team, coming off a hugely successful summer where they made it to the final of the European Lacrosse Championships in Amsterdam, losing to England but coming away with a silver medal. In 2013, the team will play host to the Celtic Cup tournament featuring the men’s national teams of Ireland, Scotland, Wales and France. This will be the first time that a major lacrosse tournament will be hosted in Ireland, and the event is being run in conjunction with The Gathering 2013.
Kennedy says, “We’re delighted to have EvoShield on board with us in preparation for the Celtic Cup in August 2013. Lacrosse is above-all a physical sport and, having tested their protective gear myself, I can attest to its quality in terms of comfort, protection, and durability. I know the national team players will likewise be happy that EvoShield can help them get that extra edge over our Celtic rivals this summer.”
Unlike other lacrosse pads that can be stiff and bulky, EvoShield is a patented ¼” thin light-weight composite material that custom-forms to the body as it hardens. Players can mold their own one-of-a-kind, lightweight battle armour in minutes with EvoShield’s patented Gel-to-Shell Technology. EvoShield starts out soft. Rip open the foil bag and exposure to air turn the soft gel pad into a hard, protective Shield. It’s then permanently molded so players can wear it all season long.
EvoShield’s range of lacrosse pads includes rib guards, and chest and back guards, which both come within a specially designed shirt to ensure the pads are perfectly molded to your body. They also provide arm guards and wrist guards – perfect for players involved in the National Indoor Lacrosse League (NILL) and club and national team players alike. EvoShield has been featured in Inside Lacrosse’s Gear Zone and on Lacrosse Playground, and former Duke Blue Devil and current pro Ned Crotty, the 2010 Tewaaraton winner who currently plays with the Rochester Rattlers of Major League Lacrosse (MLL) and the Philadelphia Wings of the National Lacrosse League (NLL), is a big fan of EvoShield gear.
