One of Ireland’s coaching staff and 2012 National Team member Sarah Walsh is blogging about the teams exploits and that can be found here.

My 2 daughters just met the Irish team in Oshawa, Ontario. My girls are playing for the Toronto Beaches in the U11 and U13 Provincial Championships, taking place at the same time as the World Championships. The games were delayed due to weather, so all the teams gathered in the In the field house. The Irish team took pictures with our girls and signed autographs for hours. In fact, my youngest had her arm signed by the entire Irish team! Then team Ireland broke into song. It was FABULOUS for all the young girls to be treated so well by your national team. Ireland made a ton of fans today and inspired many girls. What a great show of sportsmanship and camaraderie in women’s sport.
