The Campaign for the Development of Lacrosse in Ireland
Friends of Ireland Lacrosse – we need your help!
This is a very exciting time to be part of Irish lacrosse – last Saturday (11th October) was the first ‘Gameday’ of the Irish Lacrosse League season, held in beautiful autumn weather at University College Dublin. The Gameday featured men’s and women’s teams and players from Dublin, Galway, Kerry, Belfast, Limerick, Waterford and Carlow. New teams are forming, more and more youth players are getting involved and there is major momentum behind the development of lacrosse in Ireland at the present time. But to be able to carry this momentum forward, we need help!
Ireland Lacrosse is an entirely voluntary organisation, and we work with the Irish Lacrosse Foundation in the USA (also entirely voluntary) towards our shared goals of promoting lacrosse development in Ireland and supporting our national teams. We have some key needs at the moment in relation to our mission to develop lacrosse further here in Ireland – Richie Moran and Jimmy Carroll have helped collect donated equipment in New Jersey, and we need to cover the significant costs of getting it shipped to Ireland, we need new goals that we can utilise for clinics up and down the country, and in primary and secondary schools in particular, our women’s development team need new uniforms, and we need to replenish our stock of equipment so that we can do everything we can to support those people who contact us and say they want to give lacrosse a go!
We hope that you will help us reach our goals by donating to our Campaign for Development of Lacrosse in Ireland – just go to http://fundraise.mysportsfund.com/e/Lacrossedevelopment to donate online today! And please share this link with others that you think help us with this campaign!
100% of the money raised through this campaign will go directly to funding the development of lacrosse in Ireland.
