Women’s National Team Trials update

Ireland Lacrosse is pleased to announce the updated Women’s National Team Trials event on the weekend of October 29-31 at the National Sports Centre, Blanchardstown, Dublin, Ireland. All players who wish to be assessed for a place on the Women’s Senior National Team attending the World Championship in June 2022 in Towson, Maryland, USA, are encouraged to register their attendance via the Ireland Lacrosse membership system here:

Ireland Lacrosse Membership – Navigate to Events + Courses on the top Green Bar, Select WOMENS 2021 Selection Event

You must be a member of Ireland Lacrosse to attend the selection event.

Those attending must also complete this Google form and send their vaccination status (Vaccine Card or EU Travel Cert), to lstokes@IrelandLacrosse.ie. The closing date for room bookings is already passed so you will be required to arrange your own accommodation.

Please note that ‘Trials’ officially started in May 2020 with a set of ‘Virtual’ Trials events. Players attending the Dublin in-person trials and who have completed the virtual trials requirements will be given priority for assessment.

The Elite Development Programme will also be launched at trials, with players assessed for level of development. All players in attendance will be assessed for the Elite Development Programme and future tournament teams, including the 2022 Women’s World Championship Festival team in Towson, Maryland, USA and the 2022 U-21 Men’s World Championship Festival team in Limerick, Ireland.

We welcome players to attend the trial weekend even if they do not wish to be assessed for the National Team. It is the priority of Ireland Lacrosse to allow all players the opportunity to grow and learn in a competitive and encouraging environment at every opportunity. Players can register for the full three days of the selection event or a single day attendance for the Saturday session (at a reduced cost). Both are available at the registration link above. If you register for the three day event, but do not wish to be assessed, please notify lstokes@IrelandLacrosse.ie to note your non-assessed status.

We look forward to welcoming everyone back to Dublin at the end of this month for an amazing weekend of lacrosse!
