Road to Heritage Cup 2025 Begins Now!

DUBLIN, IRELAND – Team Éire will be competing in the ninth-annual Heritage Cup Tournament, 23-26 May 2025 at Regis College in Weston, MA, USA. Heritage Cup is held in conjunction with the NCAA Men’s Lacrosse Final Four – and this year, the Women’s Lacrosse Division 1 Final Four. This is primarily an opportunity for North American-based athletes to contribute to the development of international lacrosse by raising awareness, funds and participating in equipment drives for their ancestral homelands.

The Éire Programme was established to help develop the Ireland Lacrosse National Teams. Éire teams are entered into events as a means for both National Team and non-national team players to get more experience, playing time, and coaching in non-World Lacrosse or European Lacrosse events. Eligibility for the Éire team is more flexible than for the Irish National Teams, as heritage only/non-passport holders are welcomed (see National Team Vision (Player Eligibility & Selection Policy) for more information).

Éire teams will be entered into the following divisions at Heritage Cup: Men’s Open, Women’s Open, Women’s U-15, Boy’s U-19, Boy’s U-15 and Boy’s U-13. Both the Men’s and Women’s Field and Sixes National Programmes will utilize this event to evaluate eligible individuals for addition to the National Teams Player Pools.

Player registration and check-in is at Regis College on Friday, 23 May, and the program will run through the NCAA Men’s Division 1 Championship Game on Monday, 26 May, at approximately 3pm. All players are required to stay with their respective team at Regis College. Parents who are in the area are welcome to join the group for select meals and events (to be advised). Members of the Irish National Teams (players and staff) will be interacting with their younger counterparts throughout the long weekend, sharing meals, and supporting each other at their games.

How To Register Interest:

  1. Are you interested in coaching with Team Éire? Register your interest here.
  2. Are you a player, or the parent/guardian of a player? Click here to register your interest.

Please note: completing the interested player registration does not confirm a spot on a team. An active Ireland Lacrosse membership is required to register and participate. A representative from Ireland Lacrosse will send an invitation to confirm a spot and provide additional details if selected for a team.

Additional details to be provided upon team selection notification. The cost to participate will include team fee, uniform kit, three-night stay on campus along with three meals a day, tickets to all NCAA games and other Ireland organized events.
