Irish Lacrosse League 2009-2010

The 2009-2010 seasona marks the innaugural season of the Irish Lacrosse League (ILL). This years league see’s four men’s teams and three women’s teams competing for the Irish Field Lacrosse National Championship.

Dates of Gamedays and Locations

October 10th – Galway

November 14th – UCD

January 30th – Dublin

February 27th – Galway/Belfast (away trip)

March 27th – UCD (finals)

Dublinfest 5th – 9th of April

* The first two Gamedays are set, but the last three are tentative and are subject to change.

Team Responsibilities

Home Team

* Provide fields (preferably 2) for 7 to 8 hours (in total)
* Mark fields properly with both men and women’s dimensions
* Provide goals and nets (4)
* Organize a night out on Saturday (and maybe Friday too?)
* Supply table and benches for timing and scorekeeping
* Supply white board (to keep game schedules)
* Advertising in local papers about game-day
* Provide camera to update WebPages
* Provide directions to the fields to all teams

Away Team

* Provide own transportation
* Provide own accommodation

All Teams

* League fees of 10 Euro per team
* Their own goalie and equipment
* Refs, timers and scorekeepers (4 women on each team and 2 men on each team need to be trained for the year). When two teams are playing, the non-playing teams provide 2 refs, timekeeper and scorekeeper for the game.
* Must submit team roster 1 week prior to game-days
* Provide stopwatches, whistles and penalty clocks
* Must have uniforms or wear the same color tops (different from other teams)

The Executive Committee will keep track of games and scores for the season and update them on the ILL WebPage.
