Ireland Roster Announced for 2024 Women’s European Championship

DUBLIN, IRELAND – Ireland Lacrosse is proud to announce its squad of 22 athletes for the 2024 European Lacrosse Federation Senior Championship, to be played in Braga, Portugal from 10-20 July 2024.

The Senior National Team is building on momentum from the 2022 World Championship in Towson, Maryland, USA. Overall, the team showed well at the World Championship, finishing in 13th place (of 30) going 5-3, despite an unforgiving schedule. Ireland finished 7th in the 2019 edition of the European Championship and looks to place in the Top Five in this year’s event.

Head Coach Sarah Walsh remarked “I am excited by the level of talent, skill and athleticism that this team brings for the 2024 European Championship. Our October trials were the most competitive to date and highlight how much Ireland Lacrosse has grown. In addition to our Senior and U20 rosters, we have an incredible Player Pool that will represent Ireland in other international events”
